Philando Castile.
He was a friend of mine from high school.
He was funny, and kind, and
didn’t deserve to die that day.
I think of him when I reach for my wallet.
I think of him when
I pass by Snelling and Larpenter.
To metabolize the pain I’ve internalized from the death
of our friend Phil,
I wrote some pieces about him to come to peace,
if you will.
